Journey Options and Fares
We offer great value group incentives on advanced bookings only*, and with more regular sailings incorporated into our timetable, there are many more opportunities to explore this spectacular valley.
The Perfect One Way Cruise
Our Pooley Bridge to Glenridding or vice versa sailing, fits perfectly with most group itineraries, being convenient with access from the A66 and M6 motorway at Pooley Bridge and Windermere/Ambleside via Kirkstone Pass at our Glenridding departure point. The fare for this journey is £6 for adults and £3 for children. Fare includes a Lake Guide for passengers and A Pocket History of Ullswater for Tour Guides. There is a further 20% reduction for groups travelling before 10am.
Round the Lake Cruise
For those groups with a little more time, take full advantage of the two hour cruise on England’s most beautiful lake, shaped like the letter ‘Z’ as it winds through this mountainous valley: from the foothills of Helvellyn at the southern reach to the rounded limestone hills at the northern reach. The fare for this journey is £10.20 for adults and £5.10 for children and includes a Lake Guide for passengers and A Pocket History of Ullswater for Tour Guides.
Boots and Boats
Combine a cruise with some of the most famous walks within the Lake District. The Howtown to Glenridding low level walk (7 miles/11km) takes approximately 3 to 4 hours. William Wordsworth was inspired by a lakeshore walk to pen his famous poem, ‘The Daffodils’ in 1802. The fare for this journey is £4.70 for adults.
Please note, not all vessels are suitable for access; please confirm at time of booking to avoid disappointment. Read our access policy.
