Wheelchair access to Vessels and Terms & Conditions
Wheelchair access to Vessels
- Gangways are designed to fit standard wheelchairs ( there is one Wheelchair available for use in each Pier House at Pooley Bridge and Glenridding please ask a member of staff)
- We discourage the use of motorised chairs on the Piers for Health & Safety reasons.
- Due to the varying height of the Lake we regret that wheelchair access is not always possible.
- We have four vessels sailing on Ullswater with varying levels of access. Due to the nature of our business we cannot guarantee that a particular vessel will be available , we advise you to contact us if you have special requirements in advance to avoid disappointment.
- There is no access available on our smallest vessel Lady Dorothy for those who require a wheelchair.
- There is allocated free parking for Blue Badge Holders at Glenridding Pier House. We regret that due to the location of Pooley Bridge Pier House, parking outside the building is not permitted however there is a drop off and collection point outside the door.
- We offer free travel for essential companions.
