Steamer Walks - Dales and Place Fell

Steamer walks are back for 2015! Take the boat to the starting point of a guided walk with an LDNP ranger. This walk will be Dales and Place Fell, cruise to Howtown then walk back over the summit of Place Fell and Boredale Hause. Start 9:20am at Ullswater Information Centre take a look at the LDNP's website for more information or to book or call 0845 272 0004. Grade Hard Length 13km, 8 miles, 7 hours Price Adult £5, child free. Discounted boat fare (of £5) required.

Superhero Weekend

Calling all Superheroes, children under 15 years who join us over the bank holiday weekend dressed as their favourite superhero travel free. Whether you are a princess or a knight, a comic book character or maybe even a pirate. We would love to share your pictures too so send them to us for our social media galleries, the best wins a prize. Each child must be accompanied by a full fare paying adult.

Steamer Walks - Martindale and Angle Tarn

This walk will be Martindale and Angle Tarn,cruise to Howtown then walk up Martindale to Angle Tarn by Heck Crag. Return around Angle Tarn visiting Brock Crags viewpoint. The Fellsman 2015 Tours

The popular steam hauled ‘Fellsman’ returns to the spectacular Settle to Carlisle railway in 2015, running on Wednesday’s over the roof of England – With great limestone peaks and deep valleys the legendary ‘Settle to Carlisle’ line is a masterpiece of Victorian engineering including the great 24 arched viaduct at Ribblehead, with time available for either sightseeing in Carlisle - or an optional tour of the Lake District by vintage coach and cruise on beautiful Ullswater.
