Work starts on Aira Force improvements

Work to improve the visitor facilities at a historic Lakeland waterfall gets underway this week, which will see the closure of the National Trust car park at Aira Force, on the shore of Ullswater. The iconic waterfall and its surrounding woodland landscape, has received significant investment to improve access and visitor facilities on the site, including repairs to footpaths and bridges, a new welcome building and off-road path between Glencoyne and Glenridding.
