from Ullswater 'Steamers'
Looks like we are in for a treat this weekend and sunshine too !
Last summer the National Trust launched their national strategy ‘Playing Our Part,’ and ‘Looking after the Lakes’ is our way of defining what this means for us locally. It is also our response to the challenges facing the Lake District at the moment.
We have won a Chinese Tourist Welcome Award, along with our sister company Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway!
Great for walking and outdoor group activities
Alfred Wainwright has a unique place in the tradition of walking in the Lakes, and it is only fitting that the Ullswater Heritage Trail should honour his contribution. Jimmy Reynold's Wainwright Sitting Stone is an amazing creation, and its location above the lake is a wonderful tribute to Wainwright.
We are delighted to announce our short list in the Sustainable Tourism category
We are now running our Red Timetable and for the rest of Summer we are also running our Aira Force shuttle service (Glenridding to Aira) daily! These boats were made for walking so hop on board and head out around the #UllswaterWay!
This weekend come to Glenridding Pier and find out all about pond dipping and the creatures that live in the lake! We will have timed pond dipping sessions and activities in the marquee - tonnes of fun!
This weekend is all about red squirrels here at the Steamers! Head down to Glenridding Pier to find out more about these amazing creatures.
This weekend help us celebrate World Tree Week with out Ancient Trees weekend. Buy a tree trail from Glenridding Pier House for £1 and explore the woodlands at Aira Force.
