Parking at Glenridding
We have a pay and display car park on-site at Glenridding. The machine for this is just at the bottom of the ramp as you approach the pier houses. It takes cash or contactless cards.
There is also a large pay and display car park in the village, just a short walk from our pier house
We have 1 x double 11kW EV charger on site located by the picnic area. Charges apply. Please download the Monta app in advance of your visit and follow the instructions to charge your vehicle. Please note that Ullswater Steamers do not manage the app services. Please contact Monta directly via the app if you have any queries or issues. Please note that car parking charges apply whilst using the EV.
Parking at Pooley Bridge
There is a large pay and display car park just a short walk from our Pooley Bridge pier house. Please note that this car park is not provided by Ullswater ‘Steamers.

There are also 2 pay and display car parks on either side of the bridge and extra car parking in a field signposted in the village.

There is a National Trust car park at Aira Force, just a short walk away from our pier.

Due to its secluded nature, there are no car parking facilities available at Howtown.

Get to Ullswater ‘Steamers’ by bus
Leave the car behind and take the bus to Ullswater ‘Steamers’ for a beautiful Lake District cruise. Stagecoach bus services stop in Glenridding, just outside Aira Force National Trust entrance and outside the Ullswater 'Steamers' pier house at Pooley Bridge. All of the bus stops are within easy walking distance of Ullswater ‘Steamers’ piers. Ask the bus driver for a Bus and Boat ticket and save money on combined bus and boat tickets.
