Get to Ullswater ‘Steamers’ by bus

Why not take the bus to Ullswater ‘Steamers’ for a beautiful Lake District cruise? Buses stop in Glenridding village, just outside Aira Force National Trust entrance and in Pooley Bridge. 

All of the bus stops are within walking distance of Ullswater ‘Steamers’ piers.

Please note:

  • There are no buses to Howtown Pier - it can only be accessed by Ullswater ‘Steamers’ boats
  • Check Stagecoach bus timetables are up to date before travelling
  • The Bus & Boat ticket with Stagecoach will be returning in 2022

For a more sustainable day out why not travel by train to Ullswater ‘Steamers’ for your lake cruise? 

Head straight to Penrith on the West Coast mainline train, and then catch a bus from Penrith’s train station to Ullswater ‘Steamers’ Pooley Bridge or Glenridding Piers.
