If you plan to visit, we advise that you pre-book your tickets online before 9am on your chosen date of travel. We cannot guarantee to sell tickets on the day of travel. Please consider wearing a face covering in busy and enclosed areas.
You can get off our boats at Howtown and we are happy to say that you can now board the boats there too. However, we cannot take pre bookings for boarding. Tickets will be allocated on a first come, first served basis if there is space onboard. We strongly advise you not to board at Howtown. Take the cruise part of your journey first and walk back from Howtown.
Before you purchase tickets, please ensure you have picked your departure and return times (if relevant) from the timetable, watched our video and read all of our opening information. This all outlines what you can expect when you visit us.
Please note that the car park at Aira Force gets very busy and we recommend that you arrive as early as possible to get a space. Please see here for more information.

We are now able to accept single ticket bookings and allow passengers to disembark and board at Howtown Pier (although this cannot be booked in advance).

Paddleboards & Bikes £2.50 - please note this is only to take a paddleboard or bike onboard our boats, NOT to hire them. For paddleboard hire please contact Ullswater Paddleboarding, Wake & Surf, Ullswater Yacht Club or Another Place. Due to limited deck space we can only accept 4 bikes/boards on sailings. We cannot accept bikes/boards on the following sailings; Pooley Bridge departures 9.45, 12.30 & 15.20. Glenridding departures 11.15, 14.05 & 16.45.
Private One Hour Cruises
These cruises are available to book until 30th October 2021 and can be booked for up to 20 passengers. The cruise departs from Glenridding and lasts one hour. You must book this cruise at least 48 hours in advance. Price of this cruise is £150.00.
NHS Blue Light & Defence Service Cards
We are offering all NHS Blue Light Card holders and Defence Service Card Holders a discount to visit us which is valid for up to 4 adults (or a family). Valid for full lake returns only from Glenridding or Pooley Bridge. You will receive 25% off using the code that you can find on your member's log in area! In order to access your code you must type in ullswater steamers on the Blue Light Card website.
Please do not try to enter your card number in the code box!
Gift Experiences
Cruise for two with a bottle of prosecco. Enjoy a full round the lake cruise on our scheduled service for two adults with a bottle of prosecco. Cruise must be taken from Glenridding.
Please note: Once purchased, please email or telephone to book a date. We will provide you with a bottle of Prosecco, however, due to the requirement to wear a face covering for the duration of the cruise, this cannot be consumed onboard the vessel.
